Along with Ritchi593 and The PaulMann, I've had the same kind of problem after applying the update on April 20th.
The update didn't install properly and I had to reinstall the game on my device. After that I was unable to acces my account anymore and was set with a brand new lvl 3 character, instead of my main lvl 79.
I immediately launched a ticket, followed on Sunday 22nd by another with the right ticket category (account problems).
The difference with the two players mentioned above is that I was linked via Goolgle account rather than Facebook, but the situation is strictly the same.
Since then I have sent 5 emails with explanations and details and haven't got a single word from the support. My community's high king has also sent mail to confirm and support my request. My community is very active with a good rank on our server and can't afford an inactive player for too long !
Like Richi593 I am paying player and consider unacceptable to be ignored this way by the support. So I come here to ask for the quickest solution or at least an answer ! It certainly shloudn't be that hard to relink characters ! I've been in IT development and hopefully we didn't let our customers without any news when they needed, we would have lost them all !
For the record ticket numbers are 56248 and 61117.
